Nina Diggs is the founder of Elder Keepers, LLC. Like many of you, she is part of the “sandwich generation” being a mom to twin 7 year old boys and supporting caretaking of her 82 year old grandmother.
Nina received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Nursing from Simmons College, Boston. She has 17 years combined experience in acute-care bedside nursing, primary care, homecare, education, case management, and management. She worked many years as a Complex Care Nurse Practitioner in managed care programs where she provided direct care and care management to seniors who were often confined to their homes. It was her work with these programs and a series of healthcare errors experienced by her grandmother that inspired the vision for Elder Keepers.
In addition to actively building the small business and accepting new clients, she also works part-time as a Nurse Practitioner in a university-based Wellness Center and per-diem completing health risk assessments on seniors in the community.
