Who We Are

Nina D

Nina Diggs, MSN, ANP-BC
Founder/Visionary

Like many of you, Nina is part of the “sandwich generation” being a mom to twin 9-year-old boys, and supporting caretaking of her 84-year-old grandmother and many other family members and friends.

Nina received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Nursing from Simmons College, Boston. She has 19 years combined experience in acute-care bedside nursing, primary care, homecare, education, case management, and management.

She worked many years as a Complex Care Nurse Practitioner in managed care programs where she provided direct care and care management to seniors who were often confined to their homes. It was her work with these programs, and a series of medical errors experienced by her grandmother within the healthcare system that inspired her vision for Elder Keepers, a private chronic care management service.

In addition to aspiring to become a successful entrepreneur and actively building the small business, Nina also works per-diem as a Nurse Practitioner in a university-based Wellness Center.

Nina’s passions center around senior care, health & wellness, and Functional Medicine in which she intends to pursue a certification to practice. In her leisure time, she stays very active with her twin boys and loves to travel. She also enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.

Emily D

Emily DosSantos, BSN, RN
Chief Nursing Officer

Emily is a Bachelors’ prepared Registered Nurse and has worked 10 years on a busy medical-surgical unit in a leading academic medical center. Here, she delivers culturally competent care to a very diverse and complex panel of patients. She boasts nursing as her passion, and this is evident by the quality of her work and an award for Nursing Excellence. To meet the ever-changing needs of her current position, Emily also received training as an oncology nurse and aspires to one day be a hospice care specialist.

When not providing direct nursing care and managing the day-to-day of Elder Keepers, Emily can be found volunteering at numerous community events, enjoying the outdoors, spending time with family, and fulfilling bucket list travel.
